Goals and Objectives of A.P.P.L.E.: A.P.P.L.E. offers its members mutual support at it’s
drop-ins, with recreational and cultural activities at an affordable cost in a
warrn and safe atmosphere. A.P.P.L.E. tries to enhance the overall quality of
life for members who may have emotional, psychiatric and social problems. It
also tries to prevent rehospitalization through membership participation in the operation and functioning of the organization. A.P.P.L.E. activities strive to provide opportunities for the
ultimate goal of a better quality of life for consumer survivors of the mental
health system.
All members must be 18 years of age, reside in the
Regional Municipality of Ottawa-Carleton, and be in agreement with the goals and
objectives of A.P.P.L.E., as amended from time to time.

A general member is or has been a recipient of mental
health services and is a psychiatric survivor
q I am a non-survivor and wish to become a non-voting
member
A non-survivor member is a member who is sympathetic
to the goals of A.P.P.L.E.
q I am an associate or group and wish to become a
non-voting member
An associate or group member is an organization,
corporation, partnership or other legal enfity that is sympathetic to the goals
of A.P.P.L.E.
q I would like to volunteer with A.P.P.L.E.
Examples: serving on the Board of Directors, cooking
or kitchen help, and skill-sharing.
