| Who are we? |
APPLE is a non-profit organization run by and for people who have experienced mental health challenges. We focus on providing leisure and recreational opportunities with the goal of helping consumer-survivors make new friends and have fun. Founded in 1985, APPLE is Ottawa's oldest consumer-survivor initiative.

| What do we do? |
APPLE strives to enhance the quality of life of our members by offering mutual support at our drop-ins, and affordable recreational and cultural activities both at APPLE and in the community. We strive to offer a warm and safe atmosphere for our members, all of whom have emotional or psychiatric challenges. APPLE tries to prevent hospitalization through encouraging membership participation, including volunteer work and employment, in the operations of our organization.

| Drop-Ins |
Our drop-in centre is open five times a week at our comfortable premises in the basement of the Bronson Centre. A trained staff person with CPR/First Aid Training is on duty at the drop-in. We have a members' Code of Conduct which encourages mutual respect.
At the drop-in you can meet new friends and socialize, play card or board games, or do crafts. Or perhaps you'd like to try our selection of computer games or surf the Internet.
